Universities and Pharmaceutical Company Research Departments all over the world use tissue samples and cells for their research. For years, they have needed a way to easily search for samples by a variety of vectors (a healthy liver sample from a human, a diseased blood cell from an animal, etc).
AllCells is a company that collects and sells these samples. They needed a website that would allow buyers to perform advanced searches for these tissue samples, then purchase them securely online.
Like the rest of our Life Sciences websites, we designed a clean, "sterile" looking website for AllCells.com. We then implemented a comprehensive search algorithm, so that the user would be able to find the cells that they need. AllCells can manage their website by themselves using a Content Management System (CMS) or refer to our Axxiem Help Department for guidance.
This site also features a secure commerce system, allowing users to purchase their samples directly through AllCells, rather than rely upon a third party for the transaction.

Cara Therapeutics is an emerging biotechnology company focused on developing novel therapeutics to treat human diseases associated with pain and inflammation.
The challenge was to design and develop a site that would speak to both scientific and lay audiences, including media and potential investors as well as speaking to potential career candidates.
Axxiem designed a site which from page one allowed target audiences to travel down their selected paths. Custom medical animations were developed to help illustrate in 20 second clips the company's important work.

Compassion and Choices of New York is a nonprofit organization working to improve care and expand end-of-life choices. Compassion and Choices needed a site which presented the subject with the same compassion and empathy that its staff and members use with their clients.
Axxiem developed a site which has a very unique flash presentation of the topic which speaks poetically to the issue. The site also includes a Content Management System which enables the organization to update their events and notices to keep their membership informed of developments on the political and community front.
The site Axxiem built for us has been highly praised by our members. Our story can be challenging to tell, but Axxiem was able to tell this in a unique and engaging way. We liked it so much we recommended them to our California branch.

There are a range of chiropractic techniques available, and the challenge here was to help the visitor to easily understand the NUCCA and Advanced Orthogonal techniques. A clean, clinical looks was important for this client who wanted to offer a very informational site. Content on the site would explain a range of conditions, how the NUCCA procedure can help, along with a well-documented and visual explanation of every step of the NUCCA procedure.
We developed a medical design for this site, taking a scientific approach to the conditions that Dr. Gertner and his practice treat. Original content was developed explaining each condition and treatment options, as well as providing useful links to other information sources. Additional, unique interactive Flash graphics were developed, allowing the patient to click and learn more about the condition of subluxation and the areas of the body affected by spinal interferences.
