Online commerce will account for 36% ( $5.4 trillion ) of all B2B transactions in 2006. Previously B2B spending estimates were as high as $6.3 trillion by 2005. Revised forecasts show B2B numbers for 2001 at $466 billion and for 2002 at $793 billion in 2002.

Many ( 70% ) companies view online B2B commerce as a competitive advantage, while 62% of companies see it as a way to save money. Just 13% of companies say they don't value B2B online commerce.
