The Armenian Assembly of America is the largest non-partisan Armenian-American advocacy organization in the United States. The challenge was to develop a highly functional CMS system providing Assembly staff with full ability to manage all aspects of the site, from top level navigation, to calendars, News callouts, etc. on a very limited budget.
Axxiem built the solution using an powerful open-source system, Typo3. We also developed several unique functionalities which allow the Webmaster to actually create unique call out boxes and publish them on select pages.
"Our community is diverse and extends around the globe. We needed an effective way to quickly communicate with our constituency wherever they are as well as keep Armenian-American issues in the forefront of the minds of policymakers in Washington. The website that Axxiem has designed and built for us provides enormous power and flexibility."
Bryan Ardouny, Executive Director of the Armenian Assembly
The goal was to design a completely different homepage which would get people to take a second look at the small village of Hastings, recognizing the charm and the opportunity the village offers.
The new site has a completely custom flash animation of the village, complete with cafes, shops and passing vehicles. The site includes a directory of local merchants as well as a Google-driven map to easily locate all merchants.
Gluten Free Living is the leading print magazine in the gluten-free diet market. The challenge was to create site that presented the magazine clearly, made subscription to the publication easy and help potential advertisers to readily see the advantages of advertising in the magazine and on glutenfreeliving.com.
The site creatively uses a scrolling flash banner of previous magazine covers. The powerful CMS for this site enables the Admin to easily update the current issue as well as key areas of content on the site.
We also incorporated a fun "Look Inside" flash technology allowing the visitor to feel as if they are actually turning the page of the issue they are reviewing. This is also managed by the CMS.
Note the "Print Friendly" and "Email to Friend" functionalities, which are standard features on Axxiem sites.
