Transparency Life Sciences is the world’s first drug development company based on open innovation, with the goal of developing medicines for significant unmet medical needs by acquiring promising drug compounds, designing studies via crowdsourced methods, and conducting those clinical studies. Axxiem was tasked with selecting and intergrating the appropriate technologies required to achieve the project's unique objectives.
Axxiem developed and delivered a fully customized, Drupal-based platfrom integrating Google Docs API, single-signon, Webform surveys and other usability features. A robust admin panel allows for total management of all content, users, community features and statistical data.
Upon receiving FDA approval for their drug, ARCALYST, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals contracted Axxiem to develop a product website for it. As is common in the pharmaceutical industry, one of the challenges was compliance with regulations set forth by the FDA as well as the company's internal review committees. At the same time, Regeneron wanted this product site to stand out from other product websites. Additionally, the site would contain a lot of useful information, so it was important to give careful consideration to site architecture and design to ensure the website would be user-friendly and would appeal both to patients and to healthcare providers.
Axxiem worked closely with Regeneron's marketing, communications, design, and content writing staff over the course of planning and developing the website. At the same time, as part of the business consulting that Axxiem prides itself on, Axxiem contributed ideas and recommendations for how to break the mold of the 'safe' websites put out by most companies for their marketed drugs. Additionally, Axxiem was very involved in preparing website materials for review and approval by the FDA and by internal review committees prior to launch. As a result, ARCALYST.com is a fully compliant website with a creative, visually engaging design that is still in keeping with the traditional style of the industry, and it is powered by a robust content management system, allowing for fast, easy updates.
Through unique external collaborations, Lilly is accessing innovation, identifying novel funding sources, and giving more assets the opportunity to meet the needs of patients who are waiting around the world. Lilly approached Axxiem about developing a stand-alone website for the Global External Research & Development division of the company.
Axxiem developed a clean and contemporary website for Lilly's Global External Research & Development division, working closely with the client on messaging and presentation of key content. The site features a narrative slideshow on the homepage, and a custom 'Butterfly' animation on the 'Lilly's Unique Approach' page to help communicate the value they find in innovative partnerships.
Provid Pharmaceuticals researches and develops new drugs while helping other companies fund and manage their own research. They hold over 100 patents and wanted a website that would display their acheivements and invite others to share their research with them.
Axxiem developed a website with a clean and elegant design. The website features a News section that advertises recent updates, as well as a Research and Development section that highlights a few of their acheivements. Finally, the site contains a product pipeline: a list of current research projects and their status in the drug development process.
"The challenge for us was insuring our new site clearly showed our internal research as well as the services and capabilities we provide to our clients. We chose Axxiem because they understand our industry and were able to help advise on the best way to achieve these objectives. The new site is great!"
